Default Power commander location.

I just bought a 03 F4i. At the dealership which was a harley shop the guy told me he was pretty sure it had a power commander. Where are these things usually located? Its pouring outside and i live in an apartment or i would go find it myself.

Also do these hurt your gas millage? I didn't check it on the trip odo but im pretty sure its not getting 50-60 mpg. And the exhaust smells rich.

OT: I opened it up on an empty freeway last night 2nd gear all the way to the shift light. This thing rolls out like hell. I actually caught my self yelling OH ****!!! haha i dont typically do that.

Mine is located in the trunk area but im sure people mount them anywhere but seeing to it would be the driest place possibly I would look there. If not all you have to do is find a big group of wires ran in a black tube type thing and you will locate it.

They can hurt gas mileage if not properly setup for your bike and exhaust system from what I understand. Mine was on the bike before I got it but I'm thinking it had aftermarket exhaust on it because my bike has a lot of back fire with the stock cans which means its a little rich.

power commanders can have several different programs downloaded from pc's website. usually all it does is smooth out the power delivery. a lot of bikes will run lean under a certain rpm or throttle location. the power commander will richin it up in those places and lean it out in others so you have a very smooth power delivery. depending on which program its using, it could be set up for a stock bike, a stock bike with just exhaust changed, or an all stock bike with high flow air filter and exhaust. best thing to do is either take it out, or go to powercommander website and download the program for the mods you have and put that program on the unit.

Don't expect to be getting 50-60 from a 600 super sport.

35-45 is more realistic.
