2013 Honda Fit horn replacement
I am trying to replace the factory horn with a Wolo 619 air horn. I ran a ground wire and plugin to the horn plug. Every time I trie to honk the horn I would blow the 10 amp fuse under the dash. Any I deas on how to make this work with the original wiring with out burning things out?

Re: 2013 Honda Fit horn replacement
Wolo horns usually have a relay included in their horn kits. The Wolo Bad Boy that I installed 4 years ago on my '09 did. Be sure to install the relay with the wire connector tabs on the bottom to keep water from causing arcing between the connectors.
P.s. The relay that normally comes with the Wolo horns, and those that are available singly in parts stores, don't look like the image that Wanderer supplied. After-market relays are square-shaped, with a screw bracket for mounting on the top, and at least 4 spade-type wire connectors on the bottom. You would use crimp-type, insulated, wire connectors on your wires leading to the spade blades on the relay, but that leaves a small amount of naked spaded connector exposed to pooling water if the relay is mounted with the connectors facing up. Water will act as a conductor from the positive spade to the negative if the relay is left facing up. The relay is simply a switch. When you push the horn button on the steering wheel, the relay allows full battery power to activate the horn. The steering wheel horn button opens the switch (relay). The stock horn wire supplies the power to open the switch.
