NEED HELP!!!! SWAPPED JDM B20 AND IT'S MISFIRING
Hello H-T,
So my old motor seized, and I bought a JDM B20 high compression from JDM engine depot in NJ. Since the jdm b20 doesn't have the CKF, I did the by pass. IM not getting no CEL lights for the CKF, but I'm having a crazy misfire.
I honestly don't have any idea what's causing the misfire. Has anybody swapped their engine into a JDM b20, if so, did you run into any problems? Please HELP!!!

It csn be one or more of the following issues..
Bent valves
Bad rings
Bad spark plug
Bad spark plus wires
Bad dizzy(cap)
Bad injectors
No juice going to injector plugs
How you can solve.
Compression test
Swap plugs or wires
Clean dizzy contacts
Move injectors to another spot.
Bent valves

Bad spark plug
Bad spark plus wires

Yeah, over half of the engines I have gotten from JDM importers are usually pulled from over seas for a reason. Burnt valves, blown head gasket, bent valves, broken ringlands, timing jumped, smoked rings, the list goes on and on.

I replaced all gaskets, replaced oil pump to use the ckf sensor and dropped the motor in. Removed ecu fuse and backup fuse to keep the ecu from starting the car and cranked it until I saw oil in the head, placed fuses back in and let her rip.

I'm getting CODE P1129.
What can be causing that? does not having a CKF can cause that?

Yes googling that says its the M A P sensor. But my question is, can this be caused by the CKF? I will be checking the bypass (spliced cables) over to make sure it's all well, also I will check the timing.

FreshxJDM, what was the end result on this? Did you get it running correctly? I am having someone pick up a b20B from JDM Engine Depot tomorrow..
