Re: Jdm auto climate control/jdm clock/ambient temp sensor
i need help with the outside temp sensor too...ik it goes behind the license plate. have to run the pink and brown wires to the car but where do i wire the pink and brown wire too? i have a USDM 97 crv.

This to me does not work , constantly shows 45 degrees Celsius
no have PNK connect no.4 on climate control panel

Original place in front of radiator. Sensor is verified correct.

Re: Jdm auto climate control/jdm clock/ambient temp sensor
If you allow me I have some questions regarding the wiring outside temp. sensor
BLU/WHT - BLU/WHT wire from speedometer cluster (what is point of this connection ? BLU/WHT wire on the gauge/clock have permanent +5 volts )
GRY - GRY connect to wire no.1 from auto climate control panel (what is point of this connection ? GRY wire on climate control panel gives some voltage 4.5-5 volts
only when is ventilator/fan swiched ON. OFF no have voltage.)
PNK - PNK conect to wire no.4 from auto climate control panel(out temp sensor). What is function of this wire on the gauge/clock ? My car no have this wire on the climate control panel. No PINK wire , no have referent 5 volts. How supply sensor on PINK wire in my case YLW/GRN with +5 volts ?
BRW/WHT from sensor - BRW to ground sensor no.9 from auto climate control panel. This is clear.
Finaly , what is functions of wires on the gauge/clock :
GREY function is ?
BLUE/WHITE function is ?
PINK function is ?
Thanks for answers !

Re: Jdm auto climate control/jdm clock/ambient temp sensor
Hi All,
I want to switch my europian clock and air conditioner control panel to JDM and on my local (Russia) forums i've found that I need to use an additional resistor with 4.3 kOm between S5V and Tam contacts on clock, is it true? Or I just can connect wires according to schema from previous page?

Re: Jdm auto climate control/jdm clock/ambient temp sensor
Hiya Guys
Have just purchased a fresh JDM clock and sensor for my CRV, but just cant make it work on the testbench.
Perm power and switched power and headlights and ground all OK.
Just that darn temp sensor.
Have tried all combinations of those last 3 wires but I get either VERY wrong temp (showing 45°C or - - °C) when its actually 25°C on the testbench.
Still unsure if the sensor goes from the pink wire at the clock to ground on the chassis, or if sensor should have 12VDC at 1 end and the sensor acts as a current limiter sensing current back to the clock and the chip onboard measures voltage across a resistor and converts to temp.
Anyone know how that sensor gets wired up?
Yes, i have checked the clock and the sensor seperately on a friends 97 CRV, so I'm pretty sure the new clock and new sensor are both good.
Love to get details on how to wire that sensor to the clock if anyone knows for sure.
Many thanks

Re: Jdm auto climate control/jdm clock/ambient temp sensor
So the Grey Wire on the JDM clock needs 5V fed INTO it?
And this is usually fed from the Heating/AC controls I assume?
I Suspect that 5V is required for the OA sensor to be scaled.
Can anyone confirm that?
Thanks
Russ

Re: Jdm auto climate control/jdm clock/ambient temp sensor
Hi Guys,
So I have A seperate +5VDC Supply connected to the brown wire on the OA Temp sensor, and the pink wire connected to the pink wire (Temp sensor input) on the clock.
I have shared the grounds from the 5VDC Power Supply and the 12VDC power supply, so i have 5VDC running thru the temp sensor and into the pink wire of at the clock.
Now I'm getting -30°C showing as my temp, on the clock.
with a NTC thermister, that would suggest either the temp sensor is open circuit (High resistance = low temp with NTC - Negative Temp Coefficient)
My Sensor is good, and my clock is good.
What am I missing?
Thanks
Russ
