Jdm auto climate control/jdm clock/ambient temp sensor
Hi,
I would like to ask for help on wiring JDM AUTO CLIMATE CONTROL,JDM CLOCK,AMBIENT/OUTSIDE TEMP SENSOR
Here are the diagrams
AUTO CLIMATE CONTROL
DIAGRAM for my LOCAL/MANUAL CLIMATE CONTROL.
On the 8 PIN CONNECTOR there is a different color of wire connected to PIN 5 (RED on LOCAL/MANUAL) and (BLK on JDM...I am not sure if this would affect since it is just for BRIGHTNESS CONTROL of DASH LIGHTS or better I find the control for it as well
On the 20 PIN CONNECTOR
The LOCAL/MANUAL CC is missing 4 WIRES compared to JDM (ORN,RED/WHT,PNK,GRY).. I am guessing the PNK and GRY wires will be for the OUTSIDE TEMP SENSOR or JDM CLOCK.I hope someone can help me where will I tap everything
Here is the DIAGRAM for the LOCAL CLOCK and JDM CLOCK with TEMP DISPLAY..The JDM clock connector has extra 3 WIRES (PINK,GRAY,BLUE/WHT)
And here is the AMBIENT/OUTSIDE TEMP SENSOR with PINK and BRN wires
I hope someone can help me do all the wirings and where I can tap everything
TIA

Re: Jdm auto climate control/jdm clock/ambient temp sensor
One way to check is to look at the wiring diagrams for another Honda/Acura with AUTO climate control from a similar year and see what wiring goes to where. Honda was remarkably consistent with its wiring colours across platforms. For example, I do see you are missing the 'sunshine sensor' which mounts in the forward centre part of the dash - and I believe the ORN and GRY/BLK ??? lead to this part.
Also, your diagram with wire colours for the JDM clock/temp sensor is not consistent.
I am presuming you are located in SE Asia somewhere? It's possible that you have JDM CR-Vs available where you are. However, if not, have a look at Strong for Honda junkyard in New Zealand. Plenty of JDM cars there if you still need to source the sunshine sensor.

I also have one of these climate controls, we thought about trying to make it work but it seemed like too much work. Seems like you've got most of the parts, so thats a start.

Re: Jdm auto climate control/jdm clock/ambient temp sensor
There are a couple of other pieces you're missing, also, OP:
- I mentioned the sunshine sensor which is #1 in the first pic.
- Also need the interior temp sensor and aspirator hose which are #4 and #5; these will mount somewhere on the dash. If you look for images of a JDM interior you will probably find a little grille on the dash where this is supposed to mount.
- You also need some parts that mount underneath the heater core, circled in red. You might not need all of them, but a good portion of them you will.

With regards with the clock, here is the CONNECTOR..LOCAL has 4 wires and JDM has 7 WIRES

Re: Jdm auto climate control/jdm clock/ambient temp sensor
Hi - sorry for the delayed response. Almost forgot about you ... so thanks for the email.
Unfortunately, there is nowhere online that you can get the JDM diagrams like I have posted. But you can get them from me. I am also willing to assist you with the wiring when the time comes. Yes you can use a few select items from a 96-00 JDM Civic with the AUTO climate control.
However, I ask one thing in return: SINCE you're in the Philippines, I am interested in an item from Kaizen service centre in Quezon City / Manila. It's a fairly small item that can be posted to me. I will pay you back for the item, of course, but I think they only deal with buyers in person. Hopefully this is possible?

I need to find the clock/temp sensor unit. I need one. I like knowing how cold it is here in the winter.

In the green connector it could be this connector.

Re: Jdm auto climate control/jdm clock/ambient temp sensor
What i was saying was since you have five wires left over just connect them one at a time till you get the temp, one wire out of the five is useless

PNK - PNK conect to wire no.4 from auto climate control panel (out temp sensor)
BRW to BRW ground sensor no.9 from auto climate control panel
WHT/BLU - WHT/BLU
YEL - YEL
RED/BLK - RED/BLK
BLK - BLK
