Love how it gets rid of that thing hanging from the firewall.

so how do you remove the stock fuel rail inlet fitting?
is it threaded on the other side or do I just pull it out with force?

Threaded, u can try double nutting it to remove it but much easier if u have someone with a torch to heat up the fuel rail but make sure there is no fuel in the rail for ovious reasons to ease of removal.

It was definite a bitch a half to remove it, so have fun

If assembled properly, they seal themselves quite well. No janky hose clamps involved. Watch the tech videos on anplumbing.com and you'll see how it works.

old thread back for the newbies lol.

so, did any one ever answer the question of using the stock flare nut on the oem line coming out of the fire wall to a braided line? instead of just cutting and reflaring??

yes you can i have done it.
use this part
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-9894DBHERL/
if your stock fitting has a small unthreaded portion on the end you have to carefully cut it off with a dremel. and make it as strait as possible.

its not that hard it took me a while to get the ***** to cut the unthreaded portion off...
but cutting and reflaring isnt hard either and i actually ended up doing that anyhow..
but the stock fitting worked for me for over a year untill i decided to clean it up more and use bulkhead fittings.

so you attach the female end onto the hard line and attach the male end to the 6an fitting after you cut the spaced out portion of the nut?

yes sir. be very careful not to cut the hardline when you cut that spaced portion off(like me lol) otherwise you are going to have to reflare it anyway. and make sure to use teflon paste on the fitting as well.. then just tighten that earls fitting onto the stock fitting then the an fitting onto the earls fitting... instant an conversion lol

page 4 also has an explanation of this and alos a picture of the fitting without the threaded portion that is in question

its actually not that bad using the right tools... i re-routed my fuel lines using 5/8 aluminum hard line so both exit the firewall where the feed line exits stock.. surprisingly it wasn't too hard.. just time consuming...

Show us a picture of what you're talking about, your description is a little vague. You shouldn't need to weld anything.
