Squealing Noise During Acceleration? Belt? Which One?
I have a 91 CRX Si Stock and during acceleration usually a few minutes after starting the car there is a loud squealing noise from the engine that occurs around 3k rpms usually during 1st or 2nd gear. This is with the A/C on, but when I hear the noise and cut the A/C off it stops, if I don't it cut the A/C off, continues for a few more seconds. I looked at the belts and the alternator belt looks kind of worn. But I was wondering if this was my A/C belt or alternator belt? If so, is it worn, loose, or tight, etc.? I already searched and didn't find any specific information for this problem.

Check tension on your belts. If tension is loose adjust it. If tension is good, remove the belts and inspect them. Look for cracks, breaks, missing pieces and wear. Squealing usually indicates a worn or loose belt..
I'd replace both of them. It will probably cost about $10 for belts if you diy.

replace a/c belt. Very easy to do, just take a look at it and you will figure it out. $15 max for the belt.
