Default IACV / EACV Help on CRX

Hey, don't flame me and tell me to search.. this thread helped me

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2233809

but anyway, my crx started no problem today, but at a red light it died. I cranked it once, and it didn't start, so I cranked it again and it started so I parked it on the side of the road. I thought it was because I had no gas so I got a gas can and gave it 2 gallons. Cranked it and no start. I was on a decline so the nose of the car was tilting down so I pushed the car to level ground, jumped it, and it started right away. So I drove the car around in a gas station parking lot, shut it off, went to start it and it would just crank. I tried starting it until the battery died. So i gave up and left my car there.

a while ago I read something about a loose nut in the dizzy, but couldn't find it again while searching. could someone tell me how to take apart the distributer to see if this thing is loose?

but I also read that it could be the iacv or eacv that's making the car idle bad and die. i think the engine is becoming flooded after it dies and makes it hard to start up right away.

im going to have the gas station look at it tomorrow but i'm sure they'll tell me that my engine ran away so they're going to replace it with a Ferrari engine and charge me $45,000 for it. can someone help me out here so I don't get ripped off?

The car idled at about 1200 in park and 800 when in drive with the foot on the brake.

Why did you jump it if your car was cranking...was it weak? Cause if it started with a jump then check your battery and Alternator

800rpm in idle is normal+ or -50rpm

idle air wont cause the car not to start.. if u hit the gas when starting it will rev no matter what if the iacv is bad.

did you ever check your main relay? from your info, main relay maybe your culprit.
