Default Idle problem for '89 CRX SI

I'm having problems keeping my crx on. When i pull up to a stoplight the rpms drop and the car shuts off. It starts right back up again and will stay on as long as the rpms are high. Where should i look to solve this problem???

Thanks to all

is your idle adjusted to low?

try this

start your car pull the plug off your iacv sensor, then turn the screw on your t/b untill the idle goes up the 750rpms,then plug the sensor back in u should hear sorta a sucking sound.dont worry thats normal, then your idle should jump up even more and sit pretty at 850rpm.

Had the same problem in my 88, it was the Electronic Air Control Valve (EACV). Kinda spendy part, but it was well worth it to me.

Should fix your symptoms.

Had the same problem with my 91 civic d16a9 better known as zc. It turned out that the idle air control valve just needed a clean. It is located at the back of the inlet manifold. It has two coolant pipes connected to and when you open it make sure you dont loose the spring. Just soak it in lubricating fluid and give it a clean with a pin or something. That should do the trick.
