Default Explicit Speed Performance H22A mounts - good or bad?

I may be able to get an H22A swap pretty cheap. So the thought of doing another swap has been with me for the last week or two. I noticed in a couple of threads here that Explicit Speed Performance makes a mount kit for H22A swaps. And at only $449, it is a good $300 cheaper than the Hasport kit for the same swap. Now the mounts are not billet aluminum. But if they work, they work (and steel is actually better in many ways). Also, the fact that the weld-in passenger side mount does not have a locator bolt hole like the Hasport kit is a DEFINITE negative. But this is worthwhile dealing with for $300 less, provided the rest of the kit is good. Is anyone using this kit? Or has anyone heard anything good or bad about this kit?

i dont have his h22 kit, but i did buy a front crossmember from him. Its a quality piece. Im going the H2B route on my crx and his crossmember will clear the H22. John is a good guy to deal with and will treat you right.

Matt,
I don't have his mounts either but did buy a rear upper strut bracket from him. The quality of worksmanship is excellent and his welds look great. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase his H22 kit.

yea i've heard nothing but good about his work, i'm currently in the process of purchasing the 3-point ef front strut bar and a rear strut bar as well..

but i chose the path you did, planned to do an h22 swap and i was definately gonna go with explicitspeed mounts over the hasport mounts, he's got more then enough details on his site to show his mounts do a good job at what they claim to do. but sadly i decided to change my mind due to not getting a good deal on an h22 anymore, but regardless if i had to do an h22 i would definately go with explicitspeed mounts
