Default dealing with messed up balljoints?

well, I think there bad. I'm going to replace them later, but right now I want to get the car going. Anyway, I can't tighten the nut down on the lower ball joint without it spinning. I jacked up the lower control arm until the wieght of the car was on it and got one side to tighten up. the other side wasn't so easy, it still won't tighten up. any ideas? I'm also having this problem with one of the tie-rods. any thoughts on that? I could replace that easy, but the ball joints a little harder. thanks

If the shaft that the castle nut fits on is turning, apply load to it. Lower the car on the balljoint when its installed on the LCA. This should take care of your problem. Changing balljts on our cars is pretty easy. You can use a socket to remove and install them. Any other questions PM me. HTH

You beat them out with a socket. There is a small snap ring that needs to be removed. Once its removed grab a BFH and hammer it out. Once its out you can use the same socket to install it. Some are harder than others but i've done a few with a socket and it works well. HTH
