Default d16a6 head on d15b2

Now, if I just use the whole head of the d16a6 and put it on my d15b2 block, do I still need the adjustable cam gear? Or is that just if I swap only the camshaft?

im assuming you're putting it onto a d15b2 block. if so just a direct replacement.

i'm not sure, but i think you have to advance or retard the timeing 2 degrees to be at TDC with the a6 head,( not totally sure on that one)

plus,it's been covered many of times before, just search for it,bro

the d16a6 and d15a2 heads are the same casting. only the cams and valvesprings differ...(valvesprings are the same if you buy new ones from honda though)

so yes...an adjustable cam gear would be useful.

Your putting a crx Si head on a Dx block right? if thats the case and your B2 is a 16 valve the only difference is the camshaft, there is no reason to swap a whole head for that little of power, why dont you put a z6 or a y8 head on it if your going to go ahead and swap heads? just my .02 bro -Ben
