Default Adj. Cam gear, Where am I at?

Hey all,

I have a D15B8/D16Y8 MiniMe swap, and just a brief summary is that my cam has to be adjusted 4.5* retarded to makeup for the mis-matched 96 head to a 92-95 block.

My head has also been milled, and I do not recall by how much, when I have my cam set at 6.5* (Just kinda guessed that I had about .002 milled off) I have a slight stutter, Can a degree or 2 cause some powerloss and hurt it from idling well down low? I assume its a "Yes" but I'm just checking out my options. also, any way to figure out how much my head was decked from stock while the head is ON the block and in the car?

Guess Honda-Tech really doesn't have much tech...

Anyone know anything about advanced tuning?

Yes it can cause what you are describing. But since we "doesn't have much tech" I guess you didn't really need us to tell you that.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Dramier &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Yes it can cause what you are describing. But since we "doesn't have much tech" I guess you didn't really need us to tell you that.

What my question was:

"any way to figure out how much my head was decked from stock while the head is ON the block and in the car?"

The other question I stated my assumption already.

I dont think you can look at the head and be able to tell without it being off the block but what i do know is you can use a scope to see vlave to piston clearence
