Default Brake lights dont work

I was driving with my friends and one of them tells me my brake lights dont work so im all ok i thin the fuse went out so i check it and its fine but i change it just incase still doesnt work then i checked my bulbs they still work so it must be the brake light sensor so i go to buy i new one install it and still my brake light dont work could it be anything else i havent checked?

Sensor?
Check the switch that the brake pedal actuates.
Sounds like it might be stuck and not coming out.

That the switch that I.changed out but I checked and its not stuck

This is what you never could find is a straight answer for this issue, but step one is too check the fuse under your hood, because that is where your brake lights and horn fuse are together as one for some odd reason, you could also do a horn test, press it and see if your fuse blows out, if that happens your brake lights go out also, I'm not to sure about the fuse number but its labeled under stop horn, just replace the fuse and your brakes will work, just don't press in your horn or it will blow your fuse again. And fix the short in your horn that's causing the fuse to blow if you still wanna use or have a horn.
Next if that's not an issue check your bulbs then your brake light switch, last but not least test your bulb sockets for power with a multimeter.

I checked the switch and it is not receiving power what could cause that

I fixed it a cable was torn near the fuse box thats what was causing the problem thank for anyone who helped
