so i was headed home today from work got about 6 miles down the road and slowed up for a red light, well when i proceeded to start moving again the car started missing so bad and the car feels like it lost all power, it took all of a mile to hit 50mph and i barely made it home! now i have a 91 si hatch with jdmb16a and gsr ys1, running chipped p28 on obd0-obd1 jumper harness , i have had no problems with my swap for over a year and now it just craps? i checked my plugs and they were black so i replaced the wires and plugs checked the gap, checked the rotor and inspected the cap and even swapped the coil with a known good one off a blown d16 i had laying around and no change, tried a po6 to see if it would at least rev in neutral without bogging and being slow and no change, i am getting great looking spark at the plugs my fuel pressure is there and have a half a tank of gas, fuel pump i can hear prime and what not main relay is 8 months old and my trans and thermostat and valve cover are all good on grounds, so surely someone out there has some idea of what is going on here and the worst part about it all is i have NO CEL!!!! so no codes, so i'm pretty much chasing a ghost

check your timing. and are you checking fuel pressure before or afler the filter

id replace the fuel filter if you havent lately anyway. also try a different distributor. every time i had a misfiring no power problem it was always something with the spark related, first distributor crapped out, then a plug wire crapped out, then it was a bad dizzy cap. also a clogged fuel filter can cause it too bog bad

fuel filter was replaced 1600 miles ago and dizzy is only maybe a year old and everything looks spotless new inside still, i have pressure at the fuel rail instantly around 40-42 psi, now the car is in dier need of a clutch but it hasnt started slipping yet, but i highly doubt that would be the issue the car moves cuz spits and sputters all over the damn place,idk what else to check i just checked all my vacuum lines and engine plugs and everything looks good.so im stumped, i got full suspension on this thing cam gears hytech header blox intake manifold aem fuel rail,chipped p28 and alot of jdm interior and exterior parts so its killing me to watch it sit, knowing i cant take off to tinker with it and try to figure out wtf is going on, so any more ideas?

anyone? anything? still runs like crap have swapped injectors and changed fuel filter and still the same problem

my ecu still looks and acts fine it revs fine when its cold but starts to hesitate once the temp needles starts to move, the two step still stops it but could my phareable chip possibly be the problem?

haha i replkaced the coil and had no luck got a ls dizzy today just to try for ***** and giggles and when i pulled my dizzy off low and behold the teeth on the shaft had broken clean off and were laying under the end of the camshaft, so that was my problem all along and somehow i managed to get lucky and those two peices stayed put and didnt float around the head to **** **** up!! so now i've seen something new and got my car running again ^_^

Is the cel light good does it come on for a few seconds then turn off when the keys is turned to on position?? Just a thought... if not like said befor check timing and check fuel press with a gauge to make sure you got proper fuel press. if not it could be a bad fuel pump or clogged fuel filter
