Default What is EK/EG?

First, what does EK/EG mean? And second, where did the terms come from? I assume that this is referring to 1992- Civics, but I'm not 100% sure. Also, are there other abreviations I should know of (for Civics or Integras)?

Thanks!

EG = 92-95 civics
EK = 96-00 civics

They are JDM chassis codes, since civics have different names across the world.

There's also EJ, EH, EF but pertain to the older civics and crxs.

EH2's are 92-95 Civic USDM Hatchbacks.

BTW real Honda chassis codes are not very useful without the third digit. An EK4 and an EK9 are very different cars with very different features.

Thanks!

You wouldn't happen to know the codes for the new '01+ Civics, would you? And do Integras have chassis codes?

Thanks again.

i believe the new civics are designated EP.
as for integras, DC2s are 94-01 GSR/ITR and DC5s are RSXs.
