Fuel pump upgrade is probably a good idea, and I wouldn't use an FMU, I'd use a custom-tuned map on a chipped ecu.

ummmm, been searching and i can't find how to tell what OBD i have.... as far as i've seen all pre 94's have OBD1...so i'm guessing that's what i have, and also if i get these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW
i don't have to have a resistor box in because they are "high resistance saturated", is this true?

this is true. it's still cheaper to yank some DSM injectors and a resistor box.

Not on a D15B7 it wont, not on any Dseries it wont. his engine probably puts out around 80-90hp at the wheels, I/H/E would give him like 10hp cause you have to rember its a D SERIES. Then a cam might give him another 10hp if he can find one, and guess what the price of all of that will be? around $1,000, and he will have a whopping 110hp at the wheels MAX! Maybe on a MINI ME those mods will get you about 125whp if done right. For an N/A D series you need high compression to make if any decent power. Used Greddy kit and a Sohc Vtec will give him what he wants/ </TD></TR></TABLE>

It will be more than 110hp to the wheels, however I didn't notice the OP said D15B7, my mistake. A mini-me/Z6 will make more than 125whp, unless it's in poor health. $1000? His budget is $1500, those items will net him more power, and allow him to upgrade his drivetrain and tires as well. A junkyard turbo kit will make more power yes, but it isn't going to do much with a smoking clutch/tires, busted axles. Anywho, good luck with the project.

obd2 and obd1 injectors are different...the plugs they plug into are different.

if your car is 92-95 its obd1. 96-up is obd2

Perhaps not much more than 125whp, or +/- to an extent (depends on tune I reckon). Using an assumed 15% drivetrain loss, and your own estimates of gains from I/H/E and cam it would go like this: 125X.15=18.75(19), 125-19=106, 106+10(I/H/E)=116, 116+10(cam)=126. However, this is my own random theory, and I could be misinformed, wrong. More could be gained from bolt ons (IM,pulleys), the previously stated tune, headwork etc. Budget would be thrown out though on some of the latter, ie headwork. Quality parts could also make a difference, ie an AN-R header as opposed to a eBay one. This would be on a Z6 though, not a B7 with a Z6 head, or a similar mini-me. On a side note, the OP may want to look into a EX/Si trans., much better than the DX/LX trans. he has.
