Default ---Type R motor Skunk2 Pro 1's with fuel pressure problems... NEED HELP ASAP!

Motor: B18C5 Integra Type R
Mods: "Rocket" full valve train with Skunk2 Pro 1 cams, STOCK block
Engine management: Apex'i Power Fc with the stock B16B fuel map and ignition map

Important info: I have the Type R motor from an '00 Type R. The motor came without the exhaust header and intake manifold. I am currently using my OLD stock OBD1 B16A intake manifold. Along with this I am using an OBD0 / 4th gen Civic fuel line/ fuel rail.

Problem: Motor idles fine at first, but after 7 mins, the idle goes from roughly 300 rpms to 1,000 rpms. Normal idle is roughly 650-800 rpms, from what I have noticed. Fuel pressure consistently jumps from 50psi to 60 psi. This jump in fuel pressure could also be causing the idle problem. There is also an awkward "knock" / noise coming from the head right off of the dizzy.

I haven't driven the car much / hardly at all due to the larger cams and I'm not wanting to hurt anything motor wise.

Any info is appreciated and thank you in advance.

my engine had the same problem when i finished my swap (JDM B16) and i turned the idle control screw all the way down and it runs fine now. when you get it tuned you can have the idle adjustd also. give it a try

I with you on this, i've had a similar problem and idle adjustment did help it.

I've also heard since the motor has "larger" cams and that it is untunedm that this could be the problem as well...

We'll see in a week or so when it gets tuned.

I'm still wanting to hear other opinions please.
