Default strip engine bay

the last guy that had the car had it all painted and it looked good till he did it again and again by his self. so my engine bay looks like crap, whats a good cheap way to strip paint off of it

aircraft stripper. autozone sells it for like 9 bucks a can. its blue. spray on let it sit and it will bubble the paint the wipe off.

Spray the aircraft stripper let it set than take a pressure washer to it and take soup and water and clean it up..GL

wear gloves, i just stripped and painted my valve cover yesterday and the stripper made my skin burn and itch.

I would take some acetone to it after, because the aircraft stripper is like etch primer in the way the it sort of embeds itself in the metal. If you don't, you may have some problems with the new primer sticking and lasting. Unless you don't mind doing this every season. But just give it a good wash/rub-down with the acetone after, and you should be in the clear. GL.

good add, i forgot to mention that. i did a aircraft strip, brake cleaner and pressure washer then simple green soak and pressure washer. came out nice
