So let's talk about K23's in our 90's Honda.
So this topic has been covered many times back in the past. For the people who doesn't know which K23 i'm talking about. It's the Acura RDX, TURRRRBOOO! . Hah
We know people who has money sitting around and has nothing to do with it would do something crazy like this right? (Don't flame me or post anything such has, A K24A2 Turbo is less money used and you can push about 400HP easily). Yes I know, I know. As I was saying. People with money and wanted to do something crazy.
People discuss about the other K-Series FWD transmission not being able to bolt with the K-Series SH-AWD. Let's say back 3-4 years back, the only Honda car that had a SH-AWD transmission was the Acura RL (Damn right those car are damn sexy). A J-Series transmission, people said it cannot be done and I've never heard about it since. Then there was the discussion of the intercooler not being able to fit in our little 4 bangers. Someone actually putted a 2jz (Vette) in a little EG by pushing the firewall so many inches back. Why can't we do sometime similar to the front grille of the car.
Now it's 2009 and we have another SH-AWD Acura/Honda model. The Acura TL SH-AWD. Yes we know it's another J-Series, but has anyone researched it to see if it's the same has it's J-Brother the RL? I haven't found much information about the transmission that's why I am here to learn correct? Hah
Or has someone actually built a K20/24 transmission to rotate the same way has the K23's?
It's just something exciting that I would like seeing happen in the near future. A K23 in a little EF/EG/EK would be defiantly be a Head Turner.
F20C's in our EG's, 2jz in our EG's, A FWD SR20DE, A fello HT member doing a V8 in a little CRX, Another fellow HT member using the CRV chassis to build a AWD EG, J32/30's (V6) in our EF's. Hell the first person who ever thought of building an LS block with a Vtec head must had been a genius also.
So tell me why someone isn't able to build a K23 in out little 4Bangers.
