I am just wondering, when shifting, if i step on the gas while pushing in the cluch and then shift. is that good to the car?

Unless you have a device like Honda data, this can be bad, you can easily over rev your engine. Also you can eat up your clutch pretty quick
...are you talking just touching the gas while your shifting or are you talking pedal glued to the floor while drag racing? First is ok, second is not that good.

driving like an old lady isn't "good" for the car. every second your motor runs, it is deteriorating.
but to answer your question, you should only do it when you are drag racing.

thats why we have rev limiters. atleast thats why i have a rev limiter.

power shifting: shifting gears while holding down the gas
i tried it a coulple times...it kinda helps if you do it fast enough...but i stopped doing it after i misshifted and grinded my gears...eeek
