what's the proper way to accelerate during a drag race?

do you just floor it when the tires hook up, then shift then floor then shift then floor OR
do you step on the gas pedal gradually quick til it's floored?

any info will be appreciated.

 

Full throttle all the way. Might wanna ease the launch unless you can hook.

 

I have to ease if i launch, if i dont it'll just sit at the revlimiter spinnign in one spot till i let off some. Then when it catches, i try to put my foot thru the firewall.

 

I launch at 6500-7K w/ slicks, they hook and I just floor it, shift and repeat.

 

Use a 2step and floor that bitch down........1.4 sixty foots all day long.

Fawk you! I'm struggling with 1.7's.

 

What pill do you have your two step on? do you put the pedal to the floor when two step is engaged? .. I usually do floor it with the 3k pill, then it builds about 3psi boost... Sometimes i use the 6k pill but feather the accelerator/ease out the clutch when using that hight of an rpm.
