I'm quit aware of the facts you stated. I never encountered this big of a problem with a crankshaft bolt till now Well I just ordered the special tool. DIE BOLT!

Haha! I broke her loose! I got my sister to help. She held the screwdriver in the flywheel while I stepped on the breaker bar. She gave way easily. I can get her running by tomorrow if not tonight!!! WOOT WOOT

NAH, I know, I was saying, it's not a problem getting the pulley still. I had a screwdriver wedged in, I'm saying that pulley wrench is what I was looking into but it would be the same thing I'm doing now since it's already still.

You bi--, I broke my breaker bar and couldn't get it off with borrowed air tools either. I'm going to give it one last go with another breaker bar and extension. I broke a Goodwrench breaker bar on the axle nut after giving up on the crank pulley bolt. So I'm still stuck.

Re: (INVALID)
how are you breaking your breaker bar? are you using long extensions? I used an impact 17mm socket with an impact 2.5" (I think) extension and a 24" breaker bar. I put the breaker bar all the way up under the bumper, had my sister hold the screwdriver in the flywheel while I just stepped onto the bar forcing her down and breaking her loose.

I had the same trouble on my 91 Civic. My buddy came over with this tool he said is hard to find. It looked like a handle with a chain on the end. Basically, you wrap the chain portion on the main pulley, and use your ratchet/breaker bar/pipe or whatever you are using to break the bolt loose. He said make sure to use an impact gun to tighten the bolt when I was done with my repair.

Re: (24TEN)
i just used one of those holder tools with a big *** ratchet wedged against the lca. then i put a 18" breaker bar and a 6" extension on the bolt and gave it hell with my right arm. it broke loose after a slight struggle.
don't wedge a screw driver in there ... you're asking for more problems. especially when you get rushed like this, that's when bad stuff starts to happen.
