Re: Question: P29 Pistons (Dante Civic)
They are the exact same 75mm bore size, so yes the P29s will fit in the holes. I know on non-VTEC blocks the pistons actuallt sit too low in the cylinders, but I've heard that they work fine in the JDM VTEC D15B and VX D15Z1 VTEC-E blocks.
I have no clue on the compressin ratio though - I can only imagine it'd be something crazy.
I'd do some research on the D series message baord before commiting to any build, because honestly I'm not 100% sure they're a okie dokie piston for that engine.

Correct about the rings, but the question is still there about compatibility with a 1.5L block.

yes, actually i know some people around rocking those p29 pistons with d16 blocks..
thats why im asking if they will work/fit fine on a d15b vtec block
btw.. thanks for the tip of the rings...

Ahh yes the P29s are great - I know:
I've been driving my D16A6 with P29s in my daily driver for over 4-5 years now with zero issues. I just compression tested it the other day and it was a solid 250psi across all 4 cylinders!

They came out of the boxes like that.

yes it will work...just use your stock rods and you will be fine...you will have alittle lower compression...almost same as a type-r 11:5 instead of 12:6 in the z6 block...also z6 rods and stuff will work....lemme know bc i got brand new 1's with rings and everything fs...1 needs a new rod bc it was bad but the pistons are brand new...already mounted on 3 pistons
