what do you meant reset the light? if you have something wrong in your airbag system causing an SRS light to come on (i.e. aftermarket steering wheel) then the airbags will NOT deploy in the even of a crash.

So since i have an aftermarket steering wheel the airbag won't deploy in the passenger side? The light I'm talking about is the one in the cluster that says SRS and stays on all the time. When i bought the car the owner had already changed the steering wheel and the light has been there for a while and was just thinking about making the light go out by resetting the memory. So the passenger side airbag won't work at all even if i reset the memory?

i would think after reseting it, it would only be a matter of time before it would notice a problem again and the light would come right back on. same thing with a check engine light.

the light will come back on unless you put a factory steering wheel back in it, you can still have a really nice steering wheel and retain the airbag by getting a CTR or ITR steering wheel...or you could just take the bulb out of the back of the cluster, but your airbag still won't work.

The only way I know to make the passenger one go off is to fool the SRS into thinking there is still a drivers airbag with a resistor. not sure what size of a resistor to use though. if the SRS unit detects a problem it won't do anything with any airbags.

Damn! So neither one will work then? Might take it out then. I was thinking of getting the CTR steering wheel, but i read that it won't work anyways because the sensors or something like that need to changed into a JDM sensor.

id just pull the light out so it dont come on, leave your steering wheel on and just put in a jdm air bag tray and ditch that passenger air bag. looks alot better anyways in my opinion. you can buy them right on ebay.

yeah, but i wanted at least to have a passenger airbag for the passenger. Has anyone verified that the CTR steering airbag will work(deploy) on a USDM car?

You could dig into the resistor thing.
