Problem With Ignition System
So it all started when I got off work yesterday. My car has been backfiring pretty bad for awhile now. I decided to do a tune up, (Spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor) I did all of that, then when i put everything back together, I accidentally switched around spark plug wires in cylinders 2 & 3 (I know, very careless and stupid of me) so I turned my car on, heard a loud POP noise of backfire from my car, then the car turned off. And since then, I haven't been able to get it to start at all, turns over fine, but just won't start, even if I try to bump start it. I tried putting the original distributor cap and rotor on, to no avail. So I don't think I burned through the cap or rotor. I'm not getting spark from any of my spark plugs, but I don't think that it's the spark plugs, I mean the are brand new.
So my theories are:
1. I killed the distributor
2. I jumped timing
Either way I just want input from honda-tech.
I want to fix this myself but i know NOTHING about timing, so I think I'm gonna call a mobile mechanic when I get off work in 6 hours, because my car is sooo low the only way to tow it is to call a flatbed tow truck and pay over 100 dollars.
any advice?
Thanks in advance.
