Default OBD I B16 head fit on OBD II LS block?

Hey I found a guy with a first gen OBDI B16 head and I want to buy it, but I have a 99 OBDII LS motor, obviously this is for ls/vtec, now can I use this head?

My next question is he has a B16 and a GSR, but the GSR is $100 more, which one should i buy? My plans are for a daily driven ls/vtec, that will have new pistons, rods, cams and valve train, port and polished head, new IM etc..

if your converting the head to obd2 then you need a obd2 distrbutor, obd2 vtec ecu, obd2 injectors.

i would imagine so....i am rocking an obdII motor with an obdI ecu. and i didnt have to change anything. if you use an obdI head then you will be able to use an obdI ecu (fully programmable rather then the obdII)

Maybe I didn't say it properly, I'm not converting the head to OBDII, I have an OBDII LS motor and I want to put an OBDI head on, so I'm going OBDII - OBDI, there should be a problem with that once I get the ECU right?

oh you should be fine then just get the jumper harness obd2 to obd1 and then run obd1 ecu.. i dont think theres anymore to it than that. you might have to do some rewiring for the injectors.ask katman or Kenji they can hook you up

I have a 93 civic DX, so I believe my car is OBDI, so it should work if I get the head and new ECU right? and that wiring harness converter?
