Default Hate to be the n00bie who asks but (b20 info)

Im a member over at AF for quite some time but having some trouble finding anyone who knows the REAL answer to this.

OBD2 CRV swap -- best ECU choice? (OBD2 LS??)

OBD2 CRV swap -- VTEC head... can I use an OBD1 head, or must I use an OBD2 head? Also, if using a VTEC head should the head and ECU match preferably? (B16 head -- B16 ECU... GSR head -- GSR ECU) ???

THANKS! Really looking for some insight on this... always love expanding my knowledge -- thanks again guys!

if you wanna do it RIGHT, the best ecu to use is hondata or the AEM ems.
to do it the cheap way, a b20/b16 head, you can use the b16 ecu with no problems just upgrade the injectors to prelude injectors.
and the OBD dosent matter, obdI head, obdII head. dosent matter. only matters if your running an OBDI ecu with OBDII wiring harness.
heres my future setup
b20/b16a (second gen) head
b16 ecu (for now)
prelude injectors, aem FPR and fuel rail.
that will get you going.

So if I have an OBD2 block, OBD2 ECU -- and an OBD1 VTEC head im straight?

I thought it was ok to UPGRADE in OBD but not downgrade, like cant have an OBD2 block and OBD1 ECU (well without the harness)

Or should I just look for a damn OBD2 head?

Well... shouldnt say that, cause its not for me but looking for info to tell an even more confused person then myself what to get

you can downgrade, you can go with an OBDI ecu and OBDI harness, all your gonna need is a OBDII to OBDI conversion cable for the plugs on your ecu.
