i have obd1 jdm ecu P72 though.....so over all would i be hurting my engine in anyway by running a lower octane fuel?

I have heard of higher octanes in non modded engines to cause a flooding reaction but stuff at the pump won't cause you to hydro lock. As long as your engine burns all the fuel. Aka unlless your getting racing fuel your car will run fine on a hiigher octane. You may even find better idles out of using higher octane. And for the .20 cents a gallon or 2.40 cents to fill a completely empty tank isn't to bad to have that mental security.

Apparently! Seems like there's a lot of people looking to save money by cheaping out on gas. I, for one will not do that to either of my cars.
