Re: (invision)
just for future reference, that spark tester isn't worth the package it came in. the reason why is cause all it shows you is that you have spark or not and you already know you do cause it runs so that was really a pointless test but a tester you may want to invest in looks similar but you can adjust the gap the spark jumps across and by this you can actually tell how good of a spark you have.
hey did you get the codes checked yet?

Re: (wrenchez81)
well lets see sir..... it is pretty obvious the op is a noob when it comes vehicles.... lets be reasonable and not get into a pissing contest on what you can and cannot jump..... YOU try explaining how to jump and how to read codes for example how to tell your ten digits from single and all.... wouldn't you rather hook up a scanner fo FREE and read po30x cyl #x misfire detected?? no offense but in either case i will be consulting my shop manual aswell as all data to confirm jumping codes on an obd2 ecu..... lets try to help this dood fix his car... i didn't see anything else informational in your post... just a rebuttal..... this if i aint mistaken is supposed to be an opportunity for people to learn and tune their hondas based on the information they are given......
You my friend are actually wrong, cuz I use that method on my 97 civic and it works like a charm
...................and.............. well then.... explain to the noob how its done then!!!

Its the same **** to get it scanned or jump it. The thing is that if you dont have a scanner your *** has to drive to Autozone or whatever to have it scanned. Wouldnt you rather just remove a kick panel and stick a paper clip in the jumper, come back on HT and go to CEL Faqs and look what the code means. Its easier... especially now that Autozone no longer lends the OBD2 scanner. They might still scan it but before they would even lend it to you. Not anymore though. Thats why. And i dont like anyone else touching my car besides ME
And i wasnt trying to make a Non Informational statement like you said....you in a way were contradicting that, that method on Faq's doesnt work on a OBD2 vehicle. That was my point. For him to know it actually works that way too.

OH MY GOD!!!!
well for the op, I hope that you can somewhat understand that not only is diagnostics hard sometimes but especially hard over a forum and no offense talking to somebody that may not completly understand so the next time you have a problem I hope you yield the advice and take the steps necessary to give anybody a chance to diag it. my crystal ball is a little cloudy and could take a while to get any good answers out of. but congrats on your repair.
