jdm type r problem help please
so i just did a 96 spec type r swap and started fine runs great just one problem.
btw running the obd 2 p73 and my car is a 2000 civic coupe
ok got check engine light on most likely for o2 because i have none but heres my problem
ok so i start the car and go to road test it and found it bogging out at 3k rpms but after couple times trying it starts running fine vtec cracks hard just seems to do it at start up for a little so anyways i take out the tps sensor and found that it is broken. so i went and bought a new one and now the car is idling high 2k rpms and no vtec????? i swap my iacv and still i also swapped the sensor on top of the throttle and nothing and i swap back the old sesnor and idles at 800k wtf lol just as that bog problem in the beginning and vtec works lol??? btw i got a scanner but for some reason doesnt wanna link with my car why its ob2?

Re: jdm type r problem help please
TPS needs calibrated when installed,if not you may throw it in limp mode(no VTEC). You also need a USDM p73, the JDM p73 can't communicate with the scan tool.

Re: jdm type r problem help please
Put a voltmeter on it, key on...closed throttle voltage is suppose to be .5 or .45....full open throttle... 5volts......loosen bolts on tps sensor...and turn the sensor itself til specs. Match
