Default how to roll power window down?

A few weeks ago i installed power windows into my 97 civic dx. Everything tested out fine with my friend's switches untill recently the passenger side stopped working with a switch i bought online. I tested it again with a friend's switch and still the window will not move or make any sound The driver side works fine. My question is.. how do I roll the window down manually so i could get to the bolts holding it to the track? The window is stuck all the way up so it's hard to get to one of the bolts. Any help is greatly appreciated... thanx!

check for any fuse or wire problems. Or if that doesn't work try to see if you can fix it by pulling all the panels on the door off

if it makes no sound I'd check the wiring as well.. something might have come loose by accident.

Thanx for the reply... Both my door panels are off. I did check the wires and everything seems ok from the motor to the switch and to the door harness. I've checked all three of the power window fuses but haven't checked the relay yet. If the relay is bad shouldn't the driver's side stop working too?

thanx

if the switch goes bad (which i have seen happen) this will occur, but u said u used your buddies switch also. so it leads me to think maybe the motor went bad on it.

Try hooking up power directly to the motor.

so there's no way to crank the window down manually right? I know on some cars you can turn the motor/assembly manually with a tool.

actually, you can use a battery charger and hook up the negative to the down and then just touch the positive to the up on the switch and it should roll it down. (could be the other way around.)

the battery thing will work... assuming the motor is still good.

try this... remove the entire regulator assembly. take those bolts out but be careful cause the entire assembly is gonna drop once you're done.

shamless plug.... wanted... 92-95 civic passenger side power window motor

i had a similar problem, for me though the wiring that went through the doorjam from inside the car to the door panel was bad, i replaced that wire and all is well...i highly recommend checkin that spot, passenger side on ek models seem to be known for that ****...
