ok i bought a skunk2 cam gear but no woodruff key came, what can i use instead of it ? or were can i get one fast ?

the cam does NOT have the woodruf key, stock original cam gear has woodruf key welde dont it or attached i should say, now i need one to connect the aftermarket gear to shaft .

I had the same problem, mine didn't come with the key, and my stock key is like welded onto the old cam gear. So i used Stainless Keystock from work. think it was 1/4, it fit really snug.They sell keystock at Osh , or stores like true value, maybe metal stores?,

With over 11k posts I can't tell if your kidding or not... but its a little metal rectangle that slides into a slot on the cam gear and the end of the cam to hold the gear in place.

OP, make sure you get one that fits snug. A buddy of mine ended up somehow breaking the slot on the gear and trashing his head because the key came out. We're still not really sure how it happened since it was the key that came with the gear

update. my install was good. the key is very snug. at first i thought i was too tight and was thinking of grinding down a little but i moved it back and forth a little and it was perfect. very snug indeed.
