Help with manifold issue
ok. i blew the motor in my 2000 ex m/t. i bought a motor out of a 96 auto ex. The motor did not come with the wiring harness. I am using the 00 manual one, first i ran into the problem with the iacv plug, my harness is for two wire and the manifold is 3 wire plug. I switched manifolds, but my 00 mani is alot different then that 96, the 00 has antifreeze ports on the top of it. i just eliminated the line and put it on. but it pulls crazy air around the mani. is this manifold ok to use on this motor. The 96 head is not machined out for this mani, does anybody know what i am talking about, or can anybody help me....please

Re: Help with manifold issue
theres a writeup done for switchin the wires aroung to make a 2-wire ecu work with the 3-wire iacv. just get the plug with pigtails and work it.
one thing im confused about is the autos dont have iacvs, there shouldnt be holes in the mani for it either....

Re: Help with manifold issue
the hole i am talking about are right where the mani bolts to the head. the 00 m/t mani has more machined surface than the 96 auto mani, all the intake ports match and antifreeze port, but is it pulling air at the top of the mani where it bolts up b/c the 96 head dont have that extra machine surface? Why is the head different is that a 96 97 98 thing?
