Default h22 swap?

hi ht
havent been here for a while but yea...
i was wondering
is it worth doing the swap in my del sol?
i got a great deal on a long block with everything ecu, wire harness, etc for $600
but i gotta buy custom engine mounts
its legit because i saw my friend rebuild it
great deal right?
thing is, is that its gonna be in my daily driver sol
the engine will fit but its to big so i get no a/c haha
summer is coming up
what do you guys think?

Supposedly you can keep the all the stock civic air conditioning parts on your car and just buy a HCP-AC22 compressor mounting bracket to mount your existing compressor to the h22a. I'm pondering doing this myself as I don't have ac either. The swap is a blast to drive and still gets excellent fuel mileage as mine is a daily driver. Good Luck

i say go for it. its not as bad as people exaggerate on the weight ect. and who needs ac in a del sol? jus pop the top off and roll all the windows down.

see my post on "actual swap costs" under HYBRID section on honda tech. I disagree, I want and need AC. I also wouldn't do this swap to a dx as there is no power steering and that's ok except when it comes to parallel park. Daily driver, what a pain without creature comforts. I also wouldn't be satisfied not having cruise control. I'm Spoiled !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess what i said "Nice" I mean sufficient. Not some ebay coilovers on stock struts or some bs set up like that. If i was talking out of my ***, you'd smell it

hell yea do it. im a little sad that i chose a bseries over an h. its still fun but it coulda been alot more fun.

and as long as your not a baby no AC, ps( del sols already have the smallest turn radius...its easy.), or CC you'll be ok. i don't have any. granted not in cali but when its 80 and 90% humidity its hot til bout 45mph.

Go for it. I think you can still retain the ac. Look at the write up on here.
