ok so i have a 99 civic si with a gsr swap an up until the other day everything was working fine. My dizzy went out so i replaced it. Now when my car gets to 4500rpm it bogs out an wont go any higher. if i unplug the vtec solenoid it will go higher in rpms but wheni plug it back in it bogs out again. I replaced my plugs fuel filter an wires.

Can anyone help???

possible ur oil is low, are u running a vtec ecu ? if not thats def the prob

oil level is fine im running a obd1 p72 ecu vtec engages still but there is no acceleration

when u replaced the dizzy, was it new or used?

Did you check the timing when you installed it? o.o

i bought a re-manufactured one from advanced auto but had problems with the tach not working so i ended up replacing the coil inside my old dizzy an returning the re-manufactured one. this bogging started while the new dizzy was installed it was running fine then all of a sudden i got on my car an it hit vtec but fell on its face as soon as it hit an wouldnt increase in rpm's. so i took the new dizzy out an put my old one back in with the new coil and it still bogs out. i replaced my ecu last night an it did the dame thing still cuts out.

i checked my timing an its dead on so im clueless as to what might be wrong with it??

need help also. when you find any solution to solve it hit me up. i dyno tune it and after that i decided to take some parts out like the exhaust system header and fuel pump. im running a s300 (hondata), my semi built b16 is doing the same thing i have a 99 em1 also it bogged and lose power when i hit v-tec at 6500 rpm but when it goes pass 7000 rpm i gain power. i have no clue whats going on. check out my post has more information on there. thanks guys.

need help also if you find a solution to the problem let me know too im on the same track also. mines bogged at 6500 rpm to 7000 rpm and it struggle untill it passess 7400 rpm then it'll ripped fast to 8500 rpm. thinking that i need to redyno tune my car because i change some parts on my car like 310 rc injector, 255 walbro pump, dc header for a hytech tri-y header. running s300. thanks guys.
