Can anyone elaborate a bit on why the DC is so much better then some 100 dollar ebay one? I am thinking of getting a header also, and when searching ebay they can be had for like 100 bucks.

is it that the quality is crappy, or worse gains?
any specifics on the material used?

I have no problem putting down 300 or so for a good quality DC header, but whats the point when you can do the same for 200 bucks less?

Check out this thread from a few days ago...

It explains pretty well the differenct between cheap ebay headers and quality headers. There is a link in this thread to a really good write up about different headers, thier quality, and the gains expected from them!

You should be able to find some good info here...

I have to say that for my EF w/ a DOHC ZC I bought an SS Autochrome header off of ebay for $125ish a year & a half ago. I noticed much better power & throttle response. I have had no issues of rusting, bending, warping, etc. This header performed for what I needed it to. I gained HP, the motor revs more freely & it makes my cheap DD a little more fun. Not all of us can afford expensive peices, and not all of us are focused on being the fastest out there. It all depends on what you want & what you can afford.
