Default E-bay headers

Ok guys, so i see a ton of different headers on e-bay. I am gonna guess the $100-65 headers are pretty junky. But i do see OBX for $135 in both stainless and ceramic, and i see a lot of DC's for around 200-250. Are the OBX any good?? I am just running a street car so i think the 4-2-1 will work the best.
thanks

try finding feedback from someone who's had them before. I think OBX's reputation was actually getting better, not too sure. I would just get the DC's.

pssh, i bought a set of "obx-style" headers for about 60 bucks off of ebay. the cheapest ones i could find to hold me off until i can afford a better choice. surprisingly, it fit well.

I bought an OBX Header off Ebay. besides the few exhaust leaks and pealing paint wasn't to bad, made a few HP. Bolt's up well also.

They're all about the same... I'd buy em before I spent 300 bucks for a DC header though.

i know a guy who bought obx headers and he had fitment problems. plus i ordered obx headers off ebay and they emailed me 2 weeks later saying they had to refund my money because obx made a bunch of headers that didnt fit right. i ordered a dc sports 4-2-1 ceramic for my b16a and it fit perfect. just check the feedback of the person you buy from and make sure its a brand new product

dc are cool. I'd get the JDM one, but any DC is far superior than an OBX

Get the DC 4-2-1 if you dont care. the 4-1 hangs low, but a little more top.

The 4-2-1 sounds a bit better for street use, and the clearance is an issue as this is a daily driver.

just a few months. when i bought them, i never intended to keep them for too long in the first place, so it looks like they're doin alright.

I'm sure they give about 10 whp over OBX and Megan right? Bullshit. I'd say if ANYTHING they'd have 1 or 2 hp over the generic brands if they're the same style.

Plus with the money you spend on DC you could get 2 OBX's, or maybe an OBX and a high flow cat... Then who'd make more hp?

i once bought a 2-piece 4-2-1 off ebay, i think the "company" was "X3 Racing." this was on a '95 LS with 150k+ miles, i/e/fpr, no header yet. anyways, i didn't dyno before and after, but i dyno'd same motor after replacing the so-called "junk" ebay header with a nice DC 4-1 ceramic. i actually lost 2 peak HP! definitely worth the money, but i'd say if you have any significant mods on your engine go with something that doesn't look like it was welded by a child.

he's talkin about a cheap header. and if you want real power you'll go with a Hy-Tech or ANR. i actually run a dc 4-1 currently and am pretty happy with it.

i think what he was saying is that there are a lot better brands out there than dc sports. dc's products are actually relatively cheap compared other quality pieces out there. personally i'd rather spend the extra money, but if i was on a budget, i'd go for dc sports.

i got an ebay header for like $130 shipped to my door...its worked fine on my ls swap for about 6 monts now

*side note* a comptech header is the best bang for the buck, pricey tho

Wow thanks for all the info. I know there are some really nice really powerfull headers out there, but for me. I think the cheap header will work fine. The car will never be a show car, or a full on racer. Just a good fun car to drive that makes a bit more power than a lot of the other teg's on the road.

So what do you guys think about stainless VS ceramic I am guess the cheap ceramic headers are just plain cheap coating. But what about the DC's and other good one out there??

Those cheap headers make less hp than stock on the dyno. Save up, do research, do it right the first time.

i agree with you, but for someone who isn't turning his car into a race car and i just doing a few minor mods, it probably doesn't matter.
