Icon2 D16Y7 Swap Questions

Ok so I am putting in a D16Y7 motor with transmission into my 1996 Civic LX four door. I am using everything OBD2a but the distributor which is OBD1. I attached the picture of a step down harness I was given and was told I could "splice" it into the distributor and plug it up to my OBD2a harness. Now that is ghetto and I am better off getting a OBD2a distributor of course, but could I get away with doing this for now? And would I throw any CEL codes for doing so?

Also. The exhaust manifold that's on the motor has 1 oxygen sensor on it. From what I remember, these manifolds are suppose to have 2 for the D16Y7. I assume the ECU (P2E) will look for the 2nd one and throw a code for that as well?

The intake manifold on the D16Y7 motor is from a D16Z6. I remember there was something I had to change on the harness but can't remember exactly what it was. I think it was a 2 -> 3 wire conversion or something of the like.

Thanks for any help.

That obd1- obd2 conversion harness shouldnt need any splicing. As per the o2 sensors the y7 was goofy and had the cat in the exhaust manifold you need that manifold and a primary and secondary o2 sensor or you will have a cel for the o2 or you can run a obd2- obd1 conversion harness and run a p06 (obd1) ecu and then you can run just the primary o2 sensor

why not just get a y7 dizzy ? and if your using the y7 ecu you need to keep the 3 wire iacv if your using a manual y8 intake you will need to use the y7 t/body and block off the iacv port on the back of the intake .
