What did you guys use to cut the vents out of the front bumper of an eg hatch for the fog lights? just wondering what you guys have done cuz i tried using a jigsaw but the blade isnt long enough to cut through all the way.

Re: Cutting holes in bumper
finally finished. took me 6 hours to get the fogs installed lol. i used a utility knife and found a longer blade for the jigsaw. Did you guys have any clearance problems when putting the bumper back on with the fogs? i had to take the bumper support off to get it back on. dunno if thats a good idea or not....

No ... it is not a good idea! Not safe!
You should not have clearance problems. If you do, then something is wrong.
PS. Here is my write-up on how to convert a JDM foglight harness to conform to USDM lighting standards:

Well, consider that if you had to take your bumper support off, it means you didn't install them properly. I know you dicked around with them for 6 hours already, but I'm also pretty sure you want to get it right.
You should really consider the potentially dangerous safety concerns of removing your bumper support -- I understand you might be willing to take risks as the owner/driver, but have you considered the safety of any passengers in your car who aren't aware of this modification you've made? Also, it's probable that the removal of your bumper support will void your 3rd party liability insurance and you'll be on the hook for covering the full amount of medical or funeral costs in case of injury or death of your passengers. Likely, this will total in the hundred of thousands, if not millions of $... especially if you are in the US. At minimum, you should ask your insurance agency if what you've done has affected your policy.
I would strongly recommend making the foglights fit properly or risk being chastised by this community as negligent of the safety of your passengers.
