Clutch is still feeling soft after bleed
Hi Honda-tech, First i would like to thank you guys for being so helpful so far with all my issues regarding my del sol. Anyways
A few days ago i learned to bleed my clutch and was very happy with the results. However after a few days i feel my clutch losing pressure again
I don't think there is a leak because when i look in the slave cylinder it is topped off.. So my question is should i bleed my clutch again?
Also what else could be wrong do i need to replace something??
Also should i start my car and pump my clutch stiff before i start the bleeding process? Because i noticed when i first get in my car it is very soft but by the end of my drive my clutch is very stiff
Thanks in advance you guys have been major help so far!!

Re: Clutch is still feeling soft after bleed
Sometimes you do have to bleed it again. When i had my clutch done on my tsx the shop bled it 2 times and it was good but after driving i had a soft pedal and it wouldnt disengage so i bled it a 3rd time and that did the tric. those air bubbles are pesky sometimes.

Re: Clutch is still feeling soft after bleed
ah okay i will try to bleed it again ! but my question is would it be more effective if i drove the car till the pressure comes back and than bleed it versus bleeding the car with no pressure on the clutch.

Re: Clutch is still feeling soft after bleed
Clutch disengage = pushing pedal in = clutch not connected to flywheel
Clutch engage = not pushing pedal = clutch connected to the flywheel
Jack up the front end and put on jackstands. Start engine, put in gear, keep pressing clutch pedal. Have friend check if the front wheels move.
If the wheels move and the clutch is pressed to the floor, it's not disengaging fully.

Re: Clutch is still feeling soft after bleed
driving the car will have NO effect on the clutch as you can get the same efect by sitting in the car parked and slowly pump the peddle.
my 95 sol woldn't stay firn till i used a Vac bleeder on the clutch.
also push the clutch in and put the car in first with the ebrake on and hold the clutch to the floor for 5~10 min if the car acts like your letting up on the clutch and you havn't then you have eather a clutch master OR slave going out
if it's a master it can draww in air around the push rod for the master and this will act the same as you discribbe

Re: Clutch is still feeling soft after bleed
dont quote me on this but I heard somewhere that you can prime the slave cylinder, of corse if you have to do this to get your clutch firm there might be something wrong with it and need replacing
