i just took my car in because my clutch "slipped" a few times while cruising in 5th,
i did the go 40 put in 5th full throttle test etc... and could not get it to slip..
any help would be appreciated.

if its just starting to slip it wont do it all the time. try going up a hill but if it does slip at all it is your clutch

it slipped going up a hill, but the next hill it didnt, my mechanic wants me to py 450 + parts for the work and is recomending both the disc and the pressure plate... since " there will be about a 75%chance i wont be able to tell if its the plate or the disc unless they are severly abused.... do it with this guy or find a cheaper install?

man that hella expensive. you will need to buy a clutch disc and pp, get a kit, it will come w/ a throw out bearing and pilot bearing too and you will also need your flywheel resurfaced. i would recommend doing it yourself and finding a friend. i had no idea what i was doing when i did my trany swap but it really is a piece of cake and saved me a lot of money
