Oh shut up.

My D15B7 in my 2320 lb 4 door was fine for me getting around town...and it even had some zip to it here and there. It ran 16.9 at the track, which is slow as **** for racing purposes...but it was great as a commuter car...and is much faster than any automatic civic.

That is one of the best explainations of the difference in models that I have ever read. You are my hero.

yeah, my VX was a decent car ar first. i had a del sol tranny on the stock motor, and i always gave my brother with his 00 Z42 a good run. Its a way different story with my gsr motor now, but any hoo. And i know the VX motor is wired up for vtec, but heres a trick. the vtec on the stock vx motor is vtec-e. for economy, so at lower rpms, not all the valves are opening, which saves on a lot of gas, then then vtec kicks in, it open all teh valves. which is why if you stay out of vtec in the VX, you hardly use gas. but the trick is to wire it up so vtec is on all the time, or set it so itso its kicks in wya earlier. Then the full potential of the VX is being used, and then its actally got some get up and go.

I think I'm leaning towards the 96+ Civic because it's more dependable stock. REmember that I'm buying, at first, for dependability and to save $$$ on gas. I probably wouldn't do anything with it till next year in the Spring time. I really wouldn't do too much to it either except a few bolt-ons and no engine work because I'll put a new engine in it next winter. Besides I get the need for speed from the GSXR 750 and not too many street legal civics around NOVA can beat it. Unfair you say..."It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile...winning's Winning!"

Can you all refer me to anyone selling their 96+ g-rides in or near the NOVA area? Can you direct me to places online to get bolt-on acc. cheaper? Thanks fellas.

Bump, TTT, and all that good stuff.

If you find any 1992-1995 hatches with 150K or under the I assire you it will be reliable.

But if you're taking styling into account and you simply prefer the look of the 1996-2000 Civic, then I cannot argue there. Some people simply like the looks better.

...but for all those reasons I listed before, I personally prefer the 1992-1995 Civics.

Thank you B18C5-EH2 for all that info. Right now though I'm leaning towards the 96+ civic for dependability. Remember that I'm buying the car for saving $$$ on gas and reliability. Again thanks.

Can you bump this ***** for me? HOlla

This is guy horrible. This little kid doesn't even know if he wants to sell his civic or not. Can't make up his mind and is still doing crap to his car. Waste of time. Tried to meet up with him about 4-5 times and keeps fakin' on me. Anyone else out there that has a link to a Civic HB EK/EG for sale in the VA/DC/MD area? Let me know. Thanks and bump this motha for me.

VX owner here. I would definately go with a VX again. They come standard with a tach, front lip spoiler, rear wind diffuser, and lightweight alloy wheels. When I swapped my B18C1 motor in I only had to move 3 wires and it was done.
