It sounds like your having pretty bad problems with that motor. First, I wouldnt even start the car again. How man lbs of boost are you running? Stock headgasket? White smoke is usually caused by coolant in the combustion chamber. Open your radiator cap and see if there is any oil mixed in it. It would be a milky color. I would think it would be a headgasket. If the white smoke only comes out at that higher rpm, it could happen because the water pressure is building up. I dunno. LOL. Now the ticking and knocking can be a few things. I would do a compression test on all cylinders first. If compression is low or no compression at all, your going to have to open up the motor. Well, either way your going to have to open up the motor. After you do that you can see whats going on from there. Good luck man. Hope i helped

hey guy
it sounds like you may have 2 problems. as far as blowing smoke over 3-4k that sounds like you have damaged or proken the oil control rings on your pistons. the noise that you are hearing at idle, you need to try to do a better job of describing it. if the noise is a mower pitched nocking noise then you are looking at rod bearings bad, if it is a higher pitched tiking noise then peices of the rings may have goten into the cylinder and scored the walls and that could also be source of smoke. try to give a little bit more detail in your description so i can help you out a little better.

Have you been watching your boost gauge? Maybe you had your boost creep up on you (when you wasn't paying attention) and your head lifted and you fucked your head gasket up...?
Ticking = Mostly likely valves, Oil level
White smoke ( I always thought was coolant, headgasket)
Try to adjust the valves and see if you can get any of it to go away.

coolant is beautifully green, so thats fine...so im thinkin headgasket and rings and valves...ill just buy and put in...10lbs and stock headgasket btw...and it was onyl supposed to be 8lbs but i recently hooked up a boost gauges and it read 10
