The insides of my front tires are shot. My car is lowered on tein s tech with skunk 2 camber kit up front. I got an allingment on it right after i lowered it. The thing is I drove the car about 40 miles from the shop who put in the springs to the allignment shop. Could my tires have been messed up cause i drove that much on bad toe and camber or did they f up my allignment?

Pretty much almost bald on inside, more then enough outside. I lowered my car 2 months ago. Im just askin if driving 40 miles on bad toe and camber will mess up my tires that much? My front wheels dont really look slanted

It could, all depends on the compound of the tire and how bad the toe was off

40 miles is not enough to produce any visible wear on a street tire, regardless of the camber or alignment.

if it were bad enough to cause noticeable wear in 40 miles, it would be really hard/strange to drive.

Imagine driving a car with an inch of toe out haha

My buddys was like that, the tires sqweeled when he was driving in a straight line, luckly, he only had to go 2 miles to get it aligned.

It was fine to drive. So most lickely midas f -ed up my allignment. But also my front wheels dont look slanted inwards, and im guesiing they would if my tires would get messed up in 2 months. Would peelin out exagerate uneben wear

Did they give you the results of your alignment? If it's not wearin out too bad it could just be the camber, but if it's the toe that's off, it could eat the tires like crazy. I remember when I put in camber kits on the front and drove it to go get an alignment. The tires were squeelin like crazy cuz the toe was off, but got that fixed once I reached the alignment shop. You should find out what's wrong wif your alignment.

I had my 97 civic aligned at Sears. They gave me a before and after alignment spec as well.

Camber/to-*/ problems literally eat your tires. take my ek civic for example, spent 500 bones on tires, 1 month later another 500 bones, before i realized i needed to work on my suspension!!! if yer having that hard of a time, convet back to stock.

I drove 50 miles with a BAD toe-in alignment and two front tires became BALD..just like that. Good thing I wasn't going that fast either.

hey 40mile on bad camber will wear thats if u take turns hard or if u turn more than suppose to i know cause i went through 3 set in a month cause i didnt get a aligment

first off all you shouldnt have put the camber kit on waste of money and maybe it fucked up your camber. secondly more likely that your toe is fucked up. camber wear is bad but not like how you described. i use to have a loose tie rod and my tires literrally wore out in 2 weeks of easy driving

How would you know if he needed a camber kit or not? You werent there, and a camber kit cant be a bad thing unless the camber is set wrong.

To the OP, go to Sears get an alignment, you can watch when they do it. They have some cheapo tires there that will do the trick.

Your money, not mine!!!

new tires every 3mos -- $600-850 (doesn't include towing/repair in case of a blow-out)

damn yesterday i had planned to put on some kuhmo ecsta 711 but when i got there the stupid *** dude who said they'll be there yesterday suddenly said they wont be there till next week. i was like you fucken dumbass.

if i wasnt in such a hurry to get tires i would of waited but i just opted for some BF goodrich widetrack tires. i cant find anything about these shitty tires. anyone know how fast these wear? as long as they last me until my es100s come in i'm ok with it.

I had Kumho 711's once and I hated them. For some reason they don't grip worth crap and was noisy as can be on the road, but that's just me. I went with BFG Sports and I like these tires, so far 2000 miles and still looking new inside and outside.

I put on BFG Traction T/A 14" tires and LOVE them. Put them on about 4k miles on them so far an love them.

However, my car is lowered about 2-2.5 inches and my camber was within spec but my toe was WAY off. drove it about 20 miles to the shop to get it aligned. everything has been fine since. The toe was off when i bought the car and it chewed through a set of front tires in about 15k !!

Bottom line: camber will affect what area the tire wears in(along with some other factors). Toe will affect how quickly it wears out!!

Kuhmo 711's suck in the rain and in snow. You would be better off with some generic brands.
