Re: (memphiselitez)
a lot of honda motors burn oil, it might be normal. check it every time you fill up, if you're not putting more than half a quart in i really wouldn't worry about it. if it's not smoking blue it's fine.
as far as "not using all the power" it's a slow honda what we're you expecting?
are you sure vtec is kicking in at 5500 rpm?

Re: (The Internet Tough Guy)
Okay...the oil light comes on about every 2.5 weeks or so and it needs about two quarts. That's the skinny of it. PLUS...I just tested it and sadly enough it looks like bluish smoke....but I am gonna make sure with someone else later on today.
OH. Yes, I know it's a Honda. Yes, I know it's a slower car than say a modded out Audi or something of the like, however, I would really like it to be at least as fast as it feels like it can be. Like, listen, when it's up in the high rpm and it stops going any faster...or more like...going slightly faster at a snails pace...ugh. I don't like. Yes, I could be used to faster older model domestics...say 1978 Chevy Impala (fav car...and very EASY to work on), V-8. But I had sooooo much faith in the honda...perhaps I was mistrusting....
Also. Yes...it feels like the v-tech is not kicking in at 5500 rpm.
Dammit! I just want a car that will give SOME racers a run for their money. I was having a lil fantasy in my mind that I could make this happen with my Honda. Perhaps I am wrong. But no matter. I still need to take care of it and get it up to par as far as everything else goes. We shall see, people!
I am also trying to read as much as these different posts and subjects as I can as they are a wealth of information....that is great.
I think this is my 3rd post today....better slow down....only two more....
