Default 96 civic cam gear

so i have a 96 civic d16y8 super slow wish i had the b18 but i plan on changing the timing belt on it pretty soon well i was checking out the AEM Tru Time Cam Gear they offer for my car its only like 130 bucks but is that **** gonna throw off anything in my motor, i mean yea as long as i have the timing set right it will be alrite im guessin? but other then that is it safe? would any of ya recommend that is pretty much my question.

Theres no real point on gettin a adjustable cam gear if you dont have a after market cam. Dont buy a cam gear....save the money for a swap
