HAHA. Man calm down. You pop out the climate control by carefully pulling at the edges, make sure you don't pry it out and really crack it.

screw behind the Hazard switch and behind the defroster and two on the bottom underneath you need to remove the Ashtray cig lighter thing and it should pop off. Im pretty sure that is all the screws I just did this the other day.

nope, there are six screws the ones mentioned and two more in the worst of places. i removed all the lower plastics to get at the middle screws just do that and look up to where you would never put screws with a flashlight and youll find them.

be careful when removing those two switches, you can mess up the edges really easy. Use a wide flat head or something similar. It's only hard, the first time you do it. Once done it's not really that hard.

ok , so all i need to do is those 2 screws out i'm good? i'm only taking that panel out not the whole damn center piece. its cuz i looked at my deck, and it won't slide right out or anything, fudgsicle.

Re: 96-98 climate control help!
You kinda have to remove the whole center unit...There are 4 screws holding in the climate control from the back of the unit. If you look on page 2 of my thread i took close up pics of the climate control, you can see the holes where the screws go to hold it in. You MAY be able to take the screws out, and pull the whole center unit out enough to be able to get a screwdriver back there to get them out. IMHO though its not that hard at all to get it all out, if you have an aftermarket deck, that should be one of the easiest things to remove on this project...

actually...now that im looking at it, the pics on page 2 wont help....there too close...
BUT
heres what you can do, if you remove the lower dashboard cover (the piece right beneath the climate control unit) you can get to the screws....here look....
heres what the back looks like....you can see the two screws, one on top of the other on the right side...its the same on the left...
to get at them....remove this....
Now if you get on your back under the dash, you should be bale to see each side, like this...
hope this helps....lmk

Re: 96-98 climate control help!
well i haven't explain to anyone, basically, my deck worked fine, but all the sudden the power keeps going out. i thought it had to do with battery i was wrong, so if i put pressure on my climate control upwards a little bit, the deck power stays on. i'm guessing the wiring back there , something is loose. thats why i gotta do all this. it sucks driving without listening to my TRANCE! SHIZA! makes me cranky. (o_O) (^_^) (^_~) (>_<)
