VTEC should engage, but it's suttle in the Z6. Compare your Z6 to a B7. You should hear it, and it should be a little more responsive, but not like a B18 VTEC. I thought mine just pulled a little harder, but nothing special. What is your idle RPM at?

probaby six hundred, and i know my vtec is not working cause i ran a 17.1 ina 1/4 at the track i should run 16.3 so i nkow its no engaging

these are pictures of my a plug on my ecu wiring from what i have looked up a4 is the vtec solenoid with a green and yellow wire and from the look of it, that green and yellow wire is not on a4

The Blu/Blk wire at the VTEC pressure switch changes into an Orn/Blu wire at the ECU (D6).

yeah i finally fiound a diagram that was right and all my wires are there and they look good.. and my rev limiter should be at 7200 unless my tach is off

i think your tach is off and your tach dose not control vtec. the only way i can hear my z6 hit vtec is when everything is off and my windows are rolled down. if you have a loud exhaust you might not hear it ever. should change over at 4800 though. maybe 3800 on your car? ahah
