2000 Civic no power at fuel pump, just swapped y7 for y8 with computer and harness
ive tried and tried searching for help from existing threads but havent quite found anything that solved any problems.
got this car cheap because the old d16y7 non vtec had lost #4 rod bearing and scored the crank, normally fixing it would have been the easier option but the guy pulled off the pan and caps to inspect then left it out in the weather for over a year.
since the car was cheap it was still reasonable to buy a whole d16y8 with harness, computer and even trans(89,000 miles instead of 160,000) but now that its swapped it wont start.
there is spark, fuel pump is not getting power, i gave it power with a jumper and the pump itself still works. i pulled and visually inpected the fuses 13, 19, 33 and 41 or something(just from memory im at work right now) but i did not test them but they clearly looked intact.
one other problem that is probably unrelated but just might be the tip someone needs to make a connection here is that the shift interlock wont release and the indicator on the dash has P and 1 lit up.
i remembered by tester today so im going to see if i have power at the fuses but im pretty sure i will and then ill be trying to find and test the main pgmfi relay i guess... running out of ideas here so help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok tested and found power at the fuse and confirmed good fuses. Still no power at the pump connector. Is there anything else between the fuse and the connector at the pump or is it a matter of pulling the wire and finding the break in it? And the ground is good because when I tested the pump I did it by applying power to the pump only using one of those power probe tools.

I don't see a 44 it only goes up to 33 on the inside panel. Then the numbers under good start from 1 again. What's 44 supposed to be labeled as?

Fuse 44 is the 15A ECU in the hood fuse box. You'll find fuse box diagrams in the FAQs sticky.

I just put power to the pump and cranked to see if it would fire like that and it didn't so I put one of those little led injector tester lights on one of the injector connectors and cranked and it didn't flash meaning the injector wouldn't be opening anyway. Does that sound more like maybe the pgmfi relay or possibly the computer or what? I really need to get this car on the road so I can work on my daily driver so it's getting really frustrating.

So there is a gray plug up by the drivers front shock tower that isn't plugged in, never noticed that. Is that related to these problems? It's so unlikely that nobody here has ever had these issues yet still nobody has any insight. Discouraging.
